When we began our project, I couldn’t help but feel that I was about to venture out of my comfort zone. I joined Brianna and Shandryl in our project to make a poster with three quotes from the books and movies that we read in Advanced English 12. We chose quotes from Inherit the Wind, Apocalypse Now and Hamlet. So our first few days went by and we sketched out what we were going to draw for the poster. During this time I filmed, which is what was most comfortable for me to do. Since filming was most comfortable for me, I stayed with it for the first few days. I then decided that I needed to help out a bit more in the group so I took a step out of my comfort zone and helped draw and erase on the poster. I continued to help with the drawing and then, once we finished, our group started going up to Mrs. Allard’s room to make our videos. This was also an area that I was not familiar with so Shandryl did most of the work for the video editing in FinalCut. Shandryl did a great job with the editing and producing of the video and even put in extra time during her VoTech class to help us finish our project ahead of schedule. I put up my calendar of days worked in my blog. I then uploaded all of my videos and documents for the blog and once I finish typing this paper I will be finished with this final project entirely.
